Here is my build of a 2009 Rivendell Bombadil. I am trying to go with the "coat of blue and boots of yellow" theme.

I first tried a set of vintage Nitto Dirt Drop bar that I got from my lbs, College Park Bicycles. Sort of like the Jacquie Phelan from BQ Autumn 2009. This set up even uses drilled Dura Ace brake levers. The cranks, hubs,derailleurs and cantilever brakes are all Shimano XTR M-900. Pedals are XT. I add the Yellowood fenders for all weather riding.

The second set of photos is set up with the Rivendell/Nitto Bullmoose bars. I like these bars a lot but I may switch to Nitto Noodle bars. The Dirt Drop bars did not offer enough different hand positions to suit my fancy.

I mostly ride this on weekends on bike paths in and near Rockville,MD.
