Jim, Thanks again for a great site.

I sold the last SS I built to a very happy teen as the frame was a bit too large for me. I found an old lower end Falcon rotting away in my friends yard which he gave to me. I then dismantled it and stripped the old cream colored paint. Gave it new slate blue paint job and designed some decals online using a standard font in italics. I used center pull brake calipers and stem from a Viscount that I polished out. Specialized track bars. Replaced the bottom bracket and cottered cranks with polished Sugino VP crankset. Cleaned up some old wheels with steel chrome rims and added a bmx freewheel. Dia-Compe aero levers. Repainted the head badge which came out quite nice. I also recovered an old saddle in leather. The pedals are Suntour XC bmx. Ritchey Logic Comp headset. Total investment was about $80 and lots of labor. Next I'm going to submit a couple for the "Current Classics" gallery.
