This
is a submission for your Current Classics gallery. It's a 1994 Bridgestone
MB-1. The previous owner used it as a daily commuter, hence the
numerous mismatched touchup paint spots and paint chips. This was
done before people made Bridgestones collectable.
This
is this spring's build with an albatross bar and MB-2 Ritchey stem.
It's been almost every permutation you can think of. Mountain bike
bar with the stock suspension stem, drop bar with a Nitto Technomic,
dirt drop bar and stem and moustache bar with Technomic and dirt
drop stem. The ablatross combination and the moustache with the
dirt drop stem are the most versatile. The wrapped forward part
of the bar is a good alternate hand position.
It's
built from a mix of old and new parts. I don't buy all new parts
just so everything matches, why bother when I've got a bunch of
perfectly good parts accumulated over the years.
Thanks
for the great site.
