Hello, I recently found your website and have fallen in love with it. I began riding about a year ago simply for the exercise. Little did I know that cycling would soon become a way of life.

IÕm sending you pictures of my first bike build. I know it may not be a classic in some eyes but it was resurrected and saved just the same. IÕm very proud of it. I have already purchased a true steel lugged classic frame and hope to send those pictures soon too.

This bike is a 1989 Trek 1500 Aluminum frame road bike. I purchased the bare frame and restored the red paint then added totally new components. The parts of choice were from the Shimano 105 Group with nine speed rear and double front. The tires and wheels are from the Bontrager line. A Nashbar saddle and vintage Trek bars completed the project. I hope some of your readers can appreciate this project. It has truly been a labor of love.

Sincerely,

Randy Pugh
