This was an old black beat-up fixed gear that I had reborn and repainted: a new powder coat paint job and some cool decals from Rivendell Bike Works. Out went the fixed gear, and in came a singlespeed freewheel. Some new brakes and a cool mustache handlebar. The bike wears many hats in this family: it's my four-season work commuting vehicle; my daughter's childseat attaches to the rear rack for afternoon rides around the neighborhood, and my son's trailer connects to the seatpost for travel to and from school.
