This is my commuter bike which my wife calls "Split Pea". I bought it off ebay and have only needed to add the bell, rear rack and the wood box. It is in great shape for a 17-inch 1977 Schwinn Collegiate. This bike is a tank and has a really smooth ride. The rolled steel tubes definitely soaks up any road noise. Pretty much everything I need to get around. I'm on this bike about 4 days a week for my work commute. I like the older classics and this is a beauty.
