Cyclocross Racing Videos - 2008

Golden Gate Park Cyclocross Race - November 30, 2008
Men's B 35+/45+ race. Bay Area Super Prestige Race #4. These two waves put about 120-odd riders onto the course. I'm using the Hilsen and wearing a black jersey with #954. Music is a song called "Big Black Cat" done by the Stairwell Sisters (an old Snake Chapman tune) and then by Ry Cooder. Running time is about 5:21 overall.

Men's A and Singlespeed racing in Golden Gate Park. A nice little tangle-up in the beginning of the SS race, and then a bit of footage from the curve after the sandpit and the double barriers of no momentum. For some reason I didn't get over to the heckler's runup... Oh well. Running time is about 4:21, with a couple o' tunes on it.

Sierra Point Cyclocross Race - November 15, 2008
This is the Men's B 35+/45+ race. Bay Area Super Prestige Race #3. I'm using the Hilsen and wearing a black jersey with #954. Look for the dead sailor move at about 1:25 by an unidentified rider, and be impressed by the first lap lead that the 35+ B winner takes (He's wearing the red jersy). There's music (Xavier Rudd) which starts about halfway through and it runs about 8:25 overall.

The Vimeo version was run at 320 x 240 (15 fps) to prevent the size from going over the weekly limit. I also ran a 640 x 480 version which can be found over on youtube:

I actually think the Vimeo version has a little better quality. (I originally did a 320 x 240 on youtube, which looked totally like garbage. I pulled it down and replace with the larger version.)

Sierra Point Cyclocross Race - November 15, 2008
This is the Men's B race. Bay Area Super Prestige Race #3. Big air here and there and big fun. This race was run "under the lights" just after sunset. Our battery wore out before the Women's and Men's A and Singlespeed races. Alas. Music is by Calexico, a song called "Close Behind" which seemed appropriate. Runs just under 3 minutes.
