Hi,

Great site! Thanks for all your efforts. This was my 1985 Schwinn Madison which I recently sold. I am still asking myself why? Anyway I believe it went to a good home. I felt this would be a good place to remember it.

I bought this bike new in 1986 from Village Cycles in N. Hollywood Ca. where I worked. From '86 to '89 it was used as my commuting bike on open track days for the Encino velodrome. It has never had a front brake, and was used often until I moved to Santa Cruz in late 2006. It easily has 30k+ road miles on it not including the Velodrome. I have brakes on my new fixed gear which I will post soon.

In 2002 it was revamped and made to be a bit more comfortable. The original white was powder coated to my take on Schwinn Stingray metallic blue, which was my first bike, and the one that started it all for me.
