Jim,

Here's some pics of the single speed project bike my son and I built.

It's an older Stumpjumper, with an M2 frame.
The fork is a Kona P2, the headset is Ritchey Logic.
The stem is an Easton, the handlebars are oversized FSA.
Grips are Lizard Skinz lock-ons.
The seat is a nice Specialized BG saddle, the brales and levers are Deore XT.
The tires are 26 x 1.95, Performance brand and the wheels are Mavic SUP with XTR hubs.
The cranks are older Deore LX, with a 46 x 16 gearing.
The chainring is Raceface.
The pedals are DK Iron Cross.

This sucker is light and scary fast; my kid loves it. He's 15, 5'11', 195 lbs. I'd like to get him a road bike and see how fast he could hammer on that.

His dog Djoser, (named for the first pharoah to build a pyramid)had to be in the pic.

Hope you like the pics, thanks for the great site.
