This
is my mountain bike which my wife calls "Big Wheel". It is my first
29er and I bought it as a singlespeed. I love the singlespeed ride
but was finding that I liked the rides that lasted over 2 hours
and with lots of hills. That was a little tough on my legs but I
didn't want to give up the clean drivetrain. So I went with the
Shimano Nexus internal 8 speed. Although it is not recommended for
offroading by Shimano, I'm willing to give it a go. So far I love
it. With the clean drivetrain, I'm not messing with bent derailleurs
or tuning the shifters like my riding buddies. Not only that but
it shifts immediately, perfectly and without having to pedal.
The
On One Inbred 29er is a great ride. The bigger wheels feel like
it has 1 inch suspension and the steel ride is snappy. I've had
many of my full suspension friends ride it and they all come off
thinking about getting one. This is not really in the right category
since it is not a singlespeed right now but it has no derailleurs.
