Hi
Jim,
I'm
slowly getting around to sending pics of all my bikes. This is my
62cm Quickbeam. It is by far my favorite bike. I haven't quite been
able to determine why... It is my most comfortable bike and simply
makes me smile whenever I ride it!
I
love the simplicity of it. The incredibly quiet drivetrain. And
it goes everywhere. I ride it single track, sandy washes, around
town, steepish hills, just anywhere and everywhere (except 200k
brevets!). I have a 16t fixed cog on the flip flop hub that I try
every now and then, but I really love singlespeed freewheeling.
Just fantastic!
It's
a standard Rivendell build, with a green Brooks B17 CS saddle, Koolstop
salmon pads (which helped a LOT from the crappy stock pads) and
Nitto Dirt Drop bars. I threw on some Tektro interrupter levers
I found for cheap. Like those a lot, too.
Best
experience with this bike: at a rest stop when an other rider tells
me I'll be faster if I wear clipless pedals. Possibly so, possibly
so...
As
always, thanks again for hosting all these pics! And congrats on
the brevet!!!!
Cheers,
David
