This project started as a 1993 Giant Cadex CFR-3, 14 speed, with carbon tubes and aluminum lugs and front fork. The frame was repainted in silver metallic, and red and white pinstriping was positioned at all the frame lugs. The original Shimano 105 double ringed crank was swapped with a 42t aluminum crank from a 2006 Giant Suede and the arms were trimmed in matching silver metallic paint. The pedals are Nashbar beartraps. The original Nitto stem was also match painted and paired with a Nashbar moustache handlebar with foam grips for comfort. Brake levers are vintage Shimano racing, minus the hoods, combined with Tektro calipers. Hubs are the original Shimano 105 with a 20t cog, laced to Mavic rims with Continential Ultra Gator 700x28 tires. Finally, an Ascent carbon fiber seatpost is paired with a Brooks Team Professional saddle
