Jim's Workspace:

I get to work on bikes in the house during the winter, but upon project completion, tools go back in their box and things get tidied up - it's our household "project" space (an optimistic moniker for the second bedroom), so there are consistent demands upon it. In good weather, I work outside. Occasionally, if the project isn't messy, I can "spill out" into the regular part of the house - wheelbuilding qualifies, much to the delight of our dog.

I envy all of your basements and well-sealed garages....
