Here is my 1995 Steelman CycloCross. I finally had the frame repainted
last winter. Since I decided I was going to campaign it once again
this year, as my primary race bike, I figured it deserved to be
spruced up. I had dabbled in aluminum and carbon cx frames the last
few years, but had never really warmed up to their rides. I love
the feel of a well made steel frame, and this one certainly qualifies.
Components are a mixture of a Campagnolo Record left brake lever,
a Chorus ergo 10sp brake/shift lever, and a Centaur carbon rear
derailleur. I run a single ring up front with a carbon chain guard
and a third-eye chainwatcher to keep things running smoothly. Braking
is handled by Paul's Neo-Retro and Touring canti's with Swiss Stop
yellow king pads. Wheels were hand built by me with NineGs T50 carbon
rims laced to American Classic hubs with double butted spokes. Shod
with Tufo's Flexus tubulars they make an awesome race wheelset.
Enjoy,
Steven
