Hi Jim
As
promised, a pic of my Bianchi 'cross bike. Originally built up in
'98 for my move to Europe, it was to be my "one" bike, good for
everything. It's gone through light touring and commuting phases,
and > now is set up exclusively for off-roading.
The
frame is pretty nice:
designed
by Robert Kurosawa, lugged Dedacciai Zero Uno tubing, and Reparto
Corse built. Unfortunately a rear brake boss broke off and had to
be re-welded.
Part
highlights include a King headset, Campagnolo Record OR Grafton-copy
brakes, Ritchey cranks, Suntour XC Pro and Mountech derailleurs,
Salsa stem, and Nitto Dirt Drop bars. I'm really satisfied with
the gearing: an XTR 8 speed cassette 12-28 matched with 34-48 rings.
