I purchased this bike, another smaller Motobecane and a rack to bring them home on for several years ago at a northern Wisconsin thrift store - for $25! It languished in the garage until I took it for a complete overhaul at Dream Bikes in Madison. They did a beautiful job and the bike does indeed ride like a dream.

Components are a hodgepodge that includes Campy bottom bracket, cranks and pedals, Shimano barcon shifters with Huret frontĘand Shimano Crane GS rearĘderailleurs, Shimano Dura-Ace brakes, Ideale saddle, Super Champion rims.

I'm afraid I don't know the year the bike was produced. Perhaps someone else knows a good resource on Motobecanes.
