This 1984 Schwinn High Sierra 15-speed mountain bike is 100% original, right down to the grips, tires, saddle and cables! The components include Suntour ratcheting thumbshifters and Mountech derailleurs, full-size Dia-Compe brake levers, "frogleg" style Dia-Compe cantilever brakes, Araya 7X rims, and an unusual seatpost with quick-release fore-aft adjustment. The fork is a lovely sloping-crown design. Overall, this is a fantastic example of an early Schwinn mountain bike, and a real time capsule of the days before indexed shifting, suspension, aluminum and carbon frames, and Shimano's domination of the components market.

Love the site, I'l be making a donation via PayPal once my next eBay auction closes!
