i drooled over these in the early '70's, at my local bike shop, as a 15ish year old kid. i haven't gotten over the gorgeous chrome nervex and fade paint schemes with pinstriping. (reynolds 531 db, of course!) the mondia "special" was the sport touring model, with slightly longer chainstays and more fork rake. gotta say, its a SMOOTH riding machine, no toe clip overlap even with my size 12's. and a nice low bottom bracket. swiss built, all campy except the mafac brakes and weinmann levers, both of which work perfectly!!! i added the white fenders, i must say, it was worth the wait!
