I went with a old school steel build. I was inspired by Rivendell, Velo-Orange, and of course the awesome bikes on Cyclofiend. I am planning to use this bike as an "all rounder"; road rides, brevets, commutes, trips to the store, etc.

Build consists of:
Handsome Cycles 55cm Frame
Nitto Rando bar
Brooks B.17 saddle
Deore rear derailleur
Tiarga front derailleur
11/34 rear cassette
IRD compact crankset (50/34)
Dura Ace 9spd barend shifters
105 wheelset I had laying around
Nashbar front rack (screaming deal)
Baggins Lil loafer bag

It rides smooth on the mean streets of West Seattle and descends like dream.
