Here are some photos of my just built up Sam Hillborne. The bike will be used as a basic commuter, longer rides where drop bars are wanted, and even some S24O rides. In short, just about everything.

Basic setup

- 56cm frame with 700C wheels
bars - Nitto Noodle
stem - Nitto Dirt Drop
brake levers - Shimano
brakes - Tektro 720 cantilevers
shifters - Shimano bar end
front derailleur - Shimano Sora triple
rear derailleur - Shimano Deore LX reverse rise
crank - Sugino XD-2 with 26/36/46/ rings (steel rings)
cassette - 11-32 8 speed
wheels - mismatched pair. Rear built by Jim Thill for me a while back; Velocity rim with Deore XT hub. Front wheel is an eBay find, Mavic A719 rim with Shimano 105 hub
Tires - Pasela 700x35.
Saddle - Brooks B-17
Seatpost - Nitto 626 (the bike came with a nice Kalloy, but had this sitting around waiting for a good project)
More Nitto parts - front rack, rear rack, saddlebag quick release clamp
Fenders - Planet Bike (heavily used).

Except for the brakes and a couple of cables, everything was sitting around the garage. On the first two rides, the bike has handled like a dream. My first build. And happy to say it went together without a hitch.
