Hello there --

I don't know the exact year of the bicycle, but amazingly, it crossed my path having traveled less than 25 miles or so in its long life. I managed to swindle just the frame from my boss, who re-spaced the rear to 135mm and overhauled the original headset. After that, it was a sweaty, dirty three hours of transplanting parts and fenders from a Long Haul Trucker frame to this one. The frame still has the downtube-routed generator cable, an amenity which I promise myself daily to put to use.

To the nitty-gritty:
Frame/Fork: Specialized Expedition
Headset: Specialized (original)
Wheelset: White Industries M15 rear hub/Schmidt SON 28 front on Velocity Aerohead rims
For going: White Industries BB; White VBC crankset, 46/34T; Dura Ace/XTR ft/rear derailleurs; Dura Ace downtube shifters mounted to Kelly take off levers
For stopping: Coda/DiaCompe cantilevers
For the hands: Noodle bar, 44cm; Tektro levers; Specialized 130mm quill stem; Fizik tape
For the butt: B17 Special, green with copper rivets
For the spray: Berthoud stainless steel fenders
For seeing: Supernova E3 headlight

Safe rides!

Justin in Olympia, WA.
