Hello and Thanks for building this site. I have wasted many hours here.

This is my current roadster. I was planning on it being my one and only for a long time, but fate have intervened in the form of stress cracks around the rear cable routing hole. The frame will be retired until I can find a frame builder to replace the top tube. Until I have my new frame I am riding as is.

The frame is a 1988 Miyata Twelve Hundred with splined, triple-butted tubes, fork and stays. It is fast and responsive, though a little heavier than I would like. My love for this frame is unconditional. It is my first "fast" bike.

It came to me from Toronto, Canada stocked with Shimano Sante' group, less the rear derailleur which was a 600.

It has been through several 7-speed iterations and upgrades. Dura ace, bar-ends, a new 600 sealed headset. I was quite happy with the set-up until I was given a set of 9-speed DA STI's. This got the ball rolling. Thanks to several generous folks at the Trexlertown, PA swap meet and a NOS set of r550 wheels off eBay I (for now) have this:

Full Dura Ace 9-speed except:
600 sealed bearing headset
Miyata branded Nitto stem
Nitto 105b handlebars
SR Laprade seatpost
105 pedals
r550 wheels

Other bits;
Fizik bar wrap
Jagwire housing and cables
KKT clips and Christophe straps
Hutchinson Fusion Long Distance tires

Thanks again.
