Hi,
I
am finally getting around to submitting one of my bikes, others
to follow. This is my commuter/touring/drop-bar MTB/whatever bike.
This started out as a 91 Bridgestone MB-4 that I acquired in about
96. I stripped off the chipped decals and put one some "Jean Alesi"
ones in their place (a now ex-F1 driver that I admired, not a "constructeur").
My goal was to make a Riv A/R type bike on a student budget. An
MB-T, if you will. I built it up with mostly NOS Suntour XC Pro
components that were being phased out at the time. A lot of those
parts have now been switched out to Shimano due to availability.
I've done a fair bit of loaded touring with it and tonnes of commuting.
In the 10 or so years I've had it I've put around 30,000kms on it,
probably more than any other of my "nicer" bikes. I recently outlined
the lugs in silver, so I will include a picture of that as well.
