This is my Baby! A 1991 Bridgestone RB1 I bought brand new in Lewisville, TX. I have only recently upgraded the wheels to Mavic Open Pro with Shimano 10 speed Ultegra hubs. I kept my original 7 speed cassette but upgraded to Shimano Sora STI shifters/brake levers. Sora are the only STI shifters/brake levers in 7 speed.

I have about 20,000 miles on this bike mainly on club rides and countless charity tours in and around the Texas Hill Country. I live in San Antonio, TX but ride all over Texas and have rode to the Texas coast (150 miles) on 4 occasions. It's a dream on a steel frame. I have raced it once and crashed it twice, with no damage to the frame except for scratches on the paint and the rear derailleur. And a broken Elbow on me. I felt more pain when the guy who picked me up off the pavement threw my bike into his truck bed.

I can still hang with most of the young guys on the club rides at about 18-20 mph average on 50 milers. The young guys (I'm 48), Look at the bike with a puzzled look. The older guys look and say "sweet".

No flashy stuff, no bling, just plenty of class.
