bicycle has been updated - click
here for the original photos Hi
              Jim, These
pictures are an update on the Ahearne bike I have posted in Current
Classics. This is my daily commuter for getting to work. It is a
great rider! I asked Joseph to paint it in a color which would evoke
Hawaii and springtime, to help overcome the gray winter blahs. These
were taken at one of my favorite places, the Point White pier on
the west side of the island where I live. The
parts include the following: Frame, stem and fork custom made by Joseph Ahearne
 Honjo fenders (painted to match!)
Schmidt dynohub on the front, with E6 light
 Velocity Synergy rims
 White Industries rear hub
 Chris King headset
 Brooks B-17 saddle
 Harris custom cassette 13-30
 Shimano cantilever brakes
 Sugino
              XD crank 26-36-46
Shimano XTR rear derailleur, XT front Shimano 9 speed bar-end shifters
 Nitto Noodle bars
 Old Modolo brake handles- I used these on my last bike for 20 years;
they are on here for aesthetic and nostalgic reasons
 Nitto mini rack
