Here's a shot of my blue Rambouillet set up for touring. The inspriation
for this set up comes from Henry Kingman.

The
bike has my favourite gearing of 42/26 chain rings combined with
an 11-32 cassette. The wheels are White Industries M15 hubs with
Velocity Dyad rims to take the abuse of long distance touring. I'm
using small Nitto front and rear racks as the total weight of my
equipment is 22lbs. On the front I'm carrying a Thermarest Prolite
3 sleeping pad and my cooking gear. The Carradice zipped roll on
the handlebars contains personal items, maps, and cell phone/internet
tablet and keyboard. My sleeping quilt is strapped under the saddle
and the tent is in the Carradice Nelson Longflap saddlebag along
with clothes, bike repair equipment (spare tyre, tubes, cables etc),
first aid and food.
