Purple paint and vivid decals
Mafac brakes
Dimpled 27" rims and hubs

Simplex derailleurs

Replaced:
Swapped drop bars and dangerous AVA stem for cruiser bars, stem, Suntour stem-shifters, and brake levers from an old Columbia 10 speed Replaced downtube shifters with homemade improvised cable stops Replaced a non-original worn-out Avocet Touring saddle with a Brooks B-72. Replaced all original cables and most cable housing -- left a bit of original housing near right rear dropout

Added:
Planet Bike narrow fenders (700c size fits , though the tips of the fender braces which fit into the telescoping holder had to be hacksawed off to get the fenders close to the tires) Reflective tape Blackburn rear rack Sigma Triled headlamp (wonderful!) Cateye rear light Wedge under-saddle bag Bungee cord
