| Hi
              -- Attached,
my humble submission to the CC gallery: it's a 1973 Raleigh International
frame (23"), bought off eBay and built up by Sheldon Brown in Rivendell
fashion: Sugino XD crank, Deore rear derailleur, Nitto bar and stem,
Salsa seatpost, Brooks B17 saddle, Ultegra hubs and Mavic MA-3 rims.
The only vintage parts are the Campy headset, which came with the
frame, and the Mafac Racer brakes (with Kool Stop pads), which have
worked great over the past two years. This is my eighth bike since
the late 1970s and without a doubt the best fitting and best riding.
I originally got the frame as a stop-gap until I could afford a
Rambouillet, but it's since become my all-time favorite and now
I can't imagine replacing it. Many
              thanks for the gallery! best
              wishes, Marcus marcus@recol.com
