Here is my new Kogswell P/R. I really do like this bike, and it receives comments from cyclists and non-cyclists alike. I think a lot of that has to do with the colour matched fenders. They really are striking.

It has a typical build for me. A little of this, a little of that, some old, some new. And of course a veritable United Nations of parts. Australia, Switzerland, Japan, France, Taiwan, England, and enlightened design from the U.S.A. via old design from France thanks to Matthew and Jan. Highlights include Shimano internally geared 8 speed hub on the rear and a dyno hub on the front, Velocity Synergy rims front and rear, MAFAC cantilever brakes, TA cranks, Nitto M12 front rack, and a Brooks B17 Champion Special saddle. The front bag is an inexpensive cooler bag that was modified for bike use with a decaleur from Velo-Orange.

The ride is quite nice. It reminds me of a responsive road bike, yet with my regular commuting load (lunch, rain gear, lock, repair kit) in the front bag. The cushy 650B tires really do smooth out the road. All in all a pleasure to ride.

Happy Trails.
