I bought this Stumpy new in 1985 and rode it almost every day until 2001. It was of course originally red. I recently had it powder coated blue and changed out most of the components.

The brakes are still the original Shimano Deore and are just plain cool.
New Aztec pads were added.
The head set is also the original.
The seat is a real old Brooks Professional from the early 1970's.
The seat post is a Thompson.
Nitto Moustache bars and techmatic stem with Cinelli cork tape Brake levers are CLB Sulky with adjuster barrels.
Dia-Compe wheel brake wire hangers - very cool
Mid 1980's Shimano Deore Crank arms were need to replaced original Specialized arms which broke years ago. Shimano BB
MKS Sylvan Track Pedals with zefal mini clips
Shimano Ultegra 8 speed bar end shifters
Salsa 48-36 Chain rings.
Shimano 105 front derailleur
Shimano XT rear derailleur Shimano XTR 12-28 cassette
Bontranger Mustang Rims Front & Rear set with XT hubs Specialized Hemisphere Armadillo Tires.

Yes it is set up as a basic commuter but is fun to ride around town. And it was designed to be a bullet proof ride.
